Radio Tygerberg to feature St. Joseph’s

January 25, 2011

Sabine (our German volunteer) was able to set up an interview for St. Joseph’s at Radio Tygerberg (104 FM). Speaking on behalf of St. Joseph’s will be Sabine and Sister Audrey Gourrah, the Matron of St. Joseph’s. Sr. Gourrah oversees the nursing staff in the five medical wards, and we are excited to hear what she has to say about St. Joseph’s.
Don’t miss the radio broadcast on Monday (January 31st) at 14:45.

SPAR – Western Cape

November 10, 2010

A big thank you to SPAR – Western Cape (our corporate ‘Legacy of Healing” award recipient for 2010) from the Pallottine Sisters, the staff and most importantly from the children of St. Joseph’s. SPAR hosted their annual Charity Golf Classic to benefit the medically fragile children of St. Joseph’s. The generous suppliers and supporters of the Golf Classic, made it possible to raise badly needed funds for our ‘Mind the Gap” campaign. To visit the SPAR website, please click on the SPAR icon.

July 20, 2010

Saskia Falken from Heart 109.4FM and Vanessa Herbst, public relations manager at Canal Walk, recently handed over a cheque for R25 000 to Luis Medina from St. Joseph’s Home. The Funds were raised from the Mommy & Me Walk at Canal Walk, where mothers and their children put on their walking shoes and sweated it out for a good cause. A big thank you to all the mothers and children, Canal Walk Staff and to the Canal Walk Foundation, and to Heart 109.4 FM radio. The donation will help St. Joseph’s Home to “Mind the Gap”.
