Each month we will be posting our Employee of the Month. We all know that the many miracles that take place at St. Joseph’s are directly related to a highly motivated and dedicated staff.

For our January 2011 “Employee of the Month” we are proud to acknowledge Olga Bodlo who is assigned to the Sunflower Infant Medical Ward. Olga joined St. Joseph’s as a General Assistant in 2002. In 2007 Olga was accepted into the St. Joseph’s Nurses Training School and she graduated in 2008 with an enrolled Nursing Assistant certificate. At the completion of her studies Olga was promoted to a Nursing Assistant. With 8 years’ experience at St. Joseph’s Olga maintains her unique ability to work calmly in stressful situations, shower the children with love and affection and to manage all her duties without complaining.
Olga was also nominated for her willingness to serve as a mentor with interns, and for her positive attitude. Olga always goes the extra mile and she shows passion, love and caring towards all the little patients and co-workers.
Thank you OLGA; for your loyalty and commitment to the children of St. Joseph’s.

More than 1,000 children are newly infected with HIV every day, and of these more than half will die due to a lack of access to HIV treatment. Fortunately, St. Joseph’s Home has been saving the lives of HIV infected children since 2002. Today, over 33% of our little patients suffering from HIV/AIDS and TB have been given a second chance at a healthy childhood.

Join us today and become a part of the solution that seeks to save lives.
